ESS Will Host Panel of Local School Leaders

A panel of educational leaders in the South Bend area will stimulate discussion about issues that have emerged during this year's Notre Dame Forum--and how to view those issues from a local perspective. The event will take place Tuesday, March 27, at 5 pm in the McKenna Center on campus.

Four school principals--Deb Martin of McKinley Primary Center, Karla Lee of Edison Intermediate Center, John Kennedy of New Tech High School, and Darice Austin-Phillips of Perley Primary Fine Arts Academy--will engage in a panel discussion, accompanied by local organizations, teachers, and principals sharing their stories through follow-up poster presentations in the lobby. Heavy hors d'oeurves will be served to encourage continuing conversation.

The event is open to the public, free of charge. Local educators and parents are especially encouraged to attend. The event is sponsored by the Education, Schooling, and Society academic minor program which is part of Notre Dame's Institute for Educational Initiatives.
